For the Screen Producers Australia (SPA) annual conference SCREEN FOREVER 2025, 2026,  I was contracted as Program Coordinator.

I have worked extensively in Event and Festival Production and Programming for Film Festivals, including Flickerfest Film Festival, as the Programming and Production Coordinator for a vast number of years.

I remain still on the International programming team, programming short films for both the Academy ® Qualifying International Shorts and Documentary Shorts programs.

I have experience in a TV production setting as a Production Secretary and have worked in a number of Film and Music Festivals in artist logistics including for Sydney Film Festival, Edinburgh Film Festival, IDFA, MIFF and in ground transport coordination for Bluesfest Byron Bay.

From the good ol’ days of The Coolangatta Gold, to Quigley Down Under, Mad Max I, II, III. Crocodile Dundee I,II, III Getting Squared, Fat Cow Motel, The Nugget, Ghost Rider, The Cup to today’s films Children of the Corn (NSW), Royal Hotel (SA), Foe (Vic), Kong and Beast of War (QLD) and streaming shows Darby & Joan, Wolf Like Me, Irreverent, The Artful Dodger, King of the Cross, Good Cop Bad Cop, Troppo.
  • In 1994, relocated Orana Movielines head office from NSW to QLD via a government incentive to expand Queensland industry
  • In 2002, approached Swagman Motorhomes to use their motorhomes as “Cast Trailers” for the top two to six leads in a film. After years of this successful partnership, purchased the Swagman business (2011), opened the factory in 2012 until COVID had its way, closed the doors (2020).

UNIT / TRANSPORT MANAGER AND LOCATIONS:

  • Between 1982 to 2012, extensive experience as Unit/Transport Manager dealing with crews from 50 to 500, plus supplying all unit equipment, vehicles, generators, marquees, location infrastructure.
  • In those days the unit / transport & locations were highly-aligned (almost as one department), so I was in a very hands-on role solving problems of logistically difficult location shoots in all types of terrain; sourcing and coordinating vehicles and equipment for shoots, including specialty vehicles such as hover crafts, boats, aircraft (Tiger Moths to Jumbo jets), stunt vehicles, etc. in (North) Queensland, Northern Territory and New South Wales.
  • Numerous location management jobs for films, commercials and stills shoots eg. The Phantom, The Nugget, Fat Cow Motel, Australian Tourism Commission, Sydney Olympics Torch Relay.
  • In 2023, back on the chair as Locations & Transport Manager, we traversed Spain / France with Bill Bennett filming his highly successful film The Way, My Way about the French Camino.
