Hello I am Lexie, a Costume Assistant based in Everton Hills, Brisbane.
After being placed in the costume department in Screen Queenslands FISS program, in my first year as a costume assistant I have assisted on short films, commercials, feature film and the Opera.
As an emerging Costume Assistant, I have experience with:
– dressing up to 200 extras
– organising and handling costume stock
– setting up and packing down costume areas on set
– costume key standby/assisting
– quick repairs/maintenance
– buying and returning
Currently, I am working as a supervisor and assistant at Bluey’s World where I assist with laundry, repairs/maintenance of costumes, preset costumes for the next day, clean/repair Bluey and Bingo mascots as well as general assistance in the costume department.
My current goals for 2026 are to further hone my costume assistant skills and further develop basic sewing skills through study.
