Located in Helensvale, Pinnacle Studios has rapidly established itself as one of the Gold Coast’s top independent film and television production hubs

When the first studios opened in 2021 with its three converted warehouse spaces, Pinnacle quickly became a destination for high-profile productions – and a permanent home for PROXi Virtual Production, led by world-renowned action designer Guy Norris. Responding to strong industry demand, Pinnacle expanded in 2024 with additional production spaces, and is now entering its next phase of growth with the development of 2 new spacious sound stages.

Measuring 2830 m2 (30,462 sq ft) and 1535 m2 (16,522 sq ft) respectively, both stages will feature a clear ceiling height of over 13.5 m (44 ft), acoustically engineered soundproofing, and industrial-grade air conditioning in all spaces. Designed to meet the needs of all manner of film and television production, these facilities will further support the continued momentum of the Gold Coast’s screen industry.

Completion is scheduled for November 2026.

Village Roadshow Studios are located a short 50-minutes drive south of Brisbane International Airport and 25-minutes north of the Gold Coast’s iconic Surfers Paradise – one of the fastest growing and most exciting and thriving areas in Australia and holiday destination to millions of visitors yearly.

World-class film production facilities

Situated adjacent to the Warner Bros. Movie World Theme Park, the Studios offer world-class film production facilities comprising of nine Sound Stages, three water tanks, twelve production offices, editing suites, wardrobe, makeup, construction, paint and carpentry shops.

Largest studio lot in the Southern Hemisphere

All Sound Stages are equipped with current industry standard facilities, including air conditioning, extraction fans, steel grids and catwalks. The Stages vary in size with an overall floor area of 15,380.7m2 (156,775.21 sq ft), positioning Village Roadshow Studios as the largest studio lot in the Southern Hemisphere.

These companies can provide production services, camera, lighting, rigging, travel/freight, post production facilities, Drone Cameras, Lidar Scanning, EWP Equipment, Film facility vehicles, I.T Support and a Student training facility. A one stop shop for all your filming needs.

Kevin Weldon AO Soundstage
Our flagship soundstage offers versatile dry hire production space-  designed for comfort, sound-dampening, darkness, and coolness, accommodating everything from intimate drama shoots to large-scale commercial productions, simulation travel, stunt sequences, motion capture, EPK  shoots, Gallery stills, pre-visualisation, and choreography.
– Main stage floor – 325m² (13m × 25m) finish (camera-ready).

Production Offices
Located on our first floor – crew base and production offices, providing everything your crew needs from executive suites to collaborative open-plan spaces. On-site parking, standard configuration x 21 vehicles. production configuration, 1 semi + 6 trucks. Can rent seperately.

Queensland’s most advanced LED Volume facility, operated by our partner Animax Studios, this permanently installed 49.5 SQM Unilumin LED Volume (10m wide × 4.5m high) delivers Hollywood-quality in-camera VFX without the Hollywood price tag. Our wet hire packages include expert technical crew – no setup time, no transport costs, ready to shoot.
