Membership Terms & Conditions
By submitting the membership application form and subscribing to the Directory Membership, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Membership Inclusions
Your Film Freelancers Directory Membership provides access to:
- A publicly visible directory listing
- Member newsletter
- Invitations to member events
- Any additional benefits introduced in future as part of the Membership
- Access to support for updating your listing information as required
Membership benefits may evolve over time. Any changes will be communicated via email.
2. Eligibility and Application Review
To be considered for membership you must:
- Have a minimum of three professional credits or have graduated from film school with three industry references
- Have an up-to-date résumé
- Be an Australian resident or hold a valid work permit
- Be located in, or willing to work as a local to, Brisbane, Gold Coast, regional QLD, northern NSW, or surrounding areas
Application Review Process
Payment is processed at the time of application. All applications are manually reviewed to confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria. Approval is not guaranteed.
If you do not meet the criteria:
- Your membership will not be activated
- Your listing will not be published
- A full refund of your initial payment will be issued via Stripe
If approved, your listing will be published and you will receive a confirmation email.
3. Pricing and Billing
Film Freelancers Membership
The Launch Offer is available until July 31, 2026. This offer is charged at $5 AUD per month inclusive of GST for the first 3 months of membership. Following the discounted period, the membership will revert to a $20 AUD per month charge as per Film Freelancers Membership.
Payments are processed automatically each month using the card you provide at checkout.
After the introductory period, your membership renews automatically at the standard monthly rate unless cancelled (see Section 6).
Future Price Changes
We reserve the right to adjust membership pricing. Any changes will be communicated in advance and will not affect discounted rates already locked in for existing members unless explicitly agreed.
4. Your Directory Listing
By joining the directory, you acknowledge and agree that the following details will be publicly visible:
- Your name
- Contact details (email and/or phone, depending on what you supply)
- Bio and résumé information
- Location (as provided by you)
- Professional credits and qualifications
- Profile image
- Website link, social media links, and any other information you choose to provide
- Additional listing fields that may be added in future as the platform evolves
You are responsible for ensuring all information you submit is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe the rights or privacy of any third party.
5. Privacy & Data Handling
We collect and store the information you provide for the purpose of:
- Displaying your directory listing
- Communicating with you regarding your membership
- Inviting you to member events and sending newsletters
- Processing payments and managing your subscription
- Providing administrative and technical support
No personal information will be sold or disclosed to third parties except as required for directory operation, payment processing, or by law.
6. Refund and Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your membership at any time.
Cancellations must be requested manually by emailing crew@filmfreelancers.com.au
with the subject line “Membership Cancellation”.
Requests must be received at least 7 days before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the upcoming month.
Upon cancellation:
- Your directory listing will be removed
- No further payments will be taken
- You will retain access to your listing until the end of the paid period
We do not provide partial refunds for unused time within a billing cycle.
7. Updating Your Listing
You may request changes to your listing by contacting crew@filmfreelancers.com.au
. Updates that comply with directory guidelines will be made as soon as reasonably possible.
8. Membership Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or remove a listing without refund if:
- False or misleading information is provided
- Conduct is deemed unprofessional, inappropriate, or harmful to the community
- Eligibility requirements are no longer met
- Payment cannot be processed after reasonable attempts
Members will be notified before any action is taken unless urgent removal is required.
9. Agreement to Terms
By subscribing and completing payment, you acknowledge that:
- You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
- You authorise monthly recurring payments
- Your listing information will be publicly visible as described
- You meet the eligibility requirements
- You agree to the cancellation terms outlined above
10. Future Promotions & Membership Drives
Promotional discounts or membership drives may be offered from time to time. These apply only to new members joining during the promotional period. Existing members will not be affected, and their agreed pricing structure will remain unchanged unless they choose to opt into a new promotional offer.
